Becker's Chalets Jasper AB - Prep Cook / Line Cook

Becker's Chalets Jasper, AB. Seasonal, full-time, fixed-term contract position. Pay: $18.50–$20.00 per hour. Shift and schedule include mornings and evenings; weekends as needed. Location: Jasper, Alberta. Seasonal contract from April 26 to October 18, 2025 (approximately). Applicants must be Canadian Citizens, hold a PR or have a valid work permit; sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook full course meals and individual dishes with modifications as requested
  • Ensure smooth delivery of meals to dining guests, maintaining food quality and consistency in line with Alberta Food Safety and Becker’s Gourmet Restaurant standards
  • Maintain quality and speed of output
  • Prepare each item on menus according to recipes and instructions
  • Follow proper safety, hygiene and sanitation practices
  • Communicate clearly with co-workers and leadership to ensure a smooth food service operation
  • Adherence to cost control guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • 1–3 years of experience in a restaurant kitchen (required)
  • Previous experience in a high-volume fine dining kitchen is an asset
  • Able to adapt to early morning shift start times
  • Multitasked and work effectively as a team member or independently
  • Work well under pressure; maintain high standards of productivity and efficiency
  • Punctual
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use stairs; lift up to 50 lbs; able to withstand hot temperatures
  • Food Safety, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent certification (required)
  • Be eligible to work in Canada (Canadian citizen, PR, or valid work permit)
