In this role, We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Management Specialist to oversee the effective handling, storage, and governance of our organization’s data assets. In this role, you will ensure that data is accurate, reliable, secure, and accessible to key stakeholders, while supporting compliance and data governance initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data management principles, tools, and best practices, with a focus on preparing data for better insights and AI-driven opportunities.

Responsibilities

· Data Quality and Integrity: Ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data through validation, cleansing, and monitoring processes.

· Data Governance: Implement and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.

· FAIR Principles: Help ensure that all data management activities follow the FAIR principles, making data Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable to maximize value for analysis and future use.

· Master Data Management (MDM): Develop and maintain an MDM strategy to ensure consistency, accuracy, and uniformity of key data across systems, improving the overall quality and integrity of enterprise-wide data.

· Metadata Management: Ensure proper classification and documentation of data assets, including metadata and data lineage tracking.

· Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with departments across the organization to understand their data needs and provide solutions to support their goals.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in information management, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field.

· Experience in data management, data governance, or a related role.

· Proficiency with data management and mastering tools (e.g., TAMR, Reltio, Informatica)

· Experience with data catalogs and marketplaces such as Databricks Unity, AWS DataZone, Microsoft Purview, data.world, Collibra, and Atlan.

· Knowledge of data governance frameworks (e.g., GDPR).

· Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Experience working with metadata and data lineage tools.

· Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

· Master's degree in data science, Information Management, or a related field.

· Certifications such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP).

· Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

· Knowledge of data privacy laws and regulations.

The approximate annual base compensation range for this position is $100000 to $125000. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package plus benefits, will be determined by a number of factors which include but are not limited to the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities; geographic location; and internal equity
