Function
This position is responsible for co-ordinating the flow of all information between relevant departments with a view to preparing the weekly assignment schedule for production and presentation staff.

Responsibilities
  • The basic schedule is weekdays. You may be required to provide support outside regular business hours, in evenings and on weekends, for scheduled or last-minute deployments.
  • Handle day-to-day administration of sick leave and ad hoc leave requests, and share the backfill plan.
  • Plan and share schedule changes per collective agreement rules and procedures for the current posting (changes to in-times, assignments, etc.).
  • Handle external requests for technical resources, including requests from independent producers.
  • Be responsible for day-to-day technical resource assignments, including news camera operators.
  • Be responsible for arranging team travel (hotel, car rental and airline bookings).
  • Plan and draw up weekly schedules for production and presentation staff with a view to meeting production requirements; co-ordinate schedule updates, double-checking information received and notifying those concerned; and plan backfill.
  • Resolve scheduling difficulties based on staff availability; inform the leadership team of any programming or scheduling issues, review available options, suggest alternatives and make the necessary corrections.
  • Complete the appropriate forms and documents; prepare any required correspondence and reports per information provided and follow up as needed.
  • Familiarize other people with their job by explaining your own duties.
Qualifications
  • Community college diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) or more years’ experience performing related duties.
Skills
  • Strong knowledge of the Google Workspace environment.
  • Good knowledge of French.
  • English is an asset.
  • Familiarity with the TV production environment is an asset.
  • Strong self-starter.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
