Job summary

A local electrical company in Kelowna is seeking an experienced electrician to install and maintain electrical systems in residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate should be organized and a team player, with responsibilities including installing controls, underground wiring, and conducting preventive maintenance. This full-time position requires working at the physical location with no remote option.

Qualifications

  • Experience is an asset.
  • Permanent residents of Canada or temporary residents with a valid work permit can apply.

Responsibilities

  • Install electrical controls and panel boxes.
  • Replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes.
  • Install underground wiring and cables.
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation.
  • Splice, join and connect wires.
  • Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults integrity of circuits.
  • Troubleshoot and isolate faults.
  • Connect power to audio and visual equipment.
  • Install surface mount and/or overhead cables.
  • Renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications.
