• Unpack productsreceived by store and count, weigh or sortitems
• Keeping a record ofsales and restocking the store accordingly
• Maintain receipts,records, and withdrawals of the stockroom
• Use barcode scanningequipment to record incoming stock, verify pricing and maintaincomputerized stock inventory
• Planning promotionalcampaigns for new products or specials
• Inspect deliveriesfor damage or discrepancies; report those to accountingfor reimbursements and record keeping
• May operate cashregister and computer for electronic commercetransactions
• Mediating anyconfrontations between staff and clients, and de-escalating thesituation
• Rotate stock and coordinate the disposal of surpluses
  

Requirements

• A high schoolqualification or equivalent
