Job Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for developing financial analyses relating to profitability and pricing strategies for the Pharmaceutical Distribution and Specialty Health businesses.

Specific Responsibilities :

  • Support the Pharmaceutical Distribution and Specialty Health businesses, offering finance services specifically relating to profitability and pricing analyses as well as business case modeling and presentations.
  • Prepares and leads part of the financial analysis process, specifically by generating financial business cases and documenting supporting assumptions.
  • Performs value-add analyses on the Pharmaceutical Distribution and Specialty Health businesses and provides decision support, as well as identifies and articulates trends and emerging developments through close collaboration with key departmental stakeholders such as Logistics, National Operations, National Sales and Supply Solutions.
  • Prepare and maintain profitability reports on various dimensions (manufacturers, customers, products, etc.).
  • Collaborates with the Sr. Director FP&A of Pharmaceutical Distribution and Specialty Health on files related to financial planning and budgeting, operational & financial dashboards, benchmark competitive analyses and financial management presentations.
  • Present and manage risks and opportunities for the business unit. Be proactive in providing recommendations to mitigate risks and implement opportunities.
  • Contributes to the advancement of special projects such as profitability tool implementation as well as other process improvement projects.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Finance or Accounting.
  • Must have an accounting designation (CPA or CFA). MBA will also be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a financial analyst or in a similar role.
  • Demonstrates expertise in business case analysis and financial modeling and FP&A.
  • Possesses a keen ability to understand and effectively construct financial models on complex business situations.
  • Strong organizational / planning skills and a strong sense of urgency. Able to manage tight deadlines in a changing environment, strategic and proactive thinker, with a flexible attitude and approach to business solutions.
  • Ability to work in a cross functional environment and with people at various levels up to senior management.
  • Maintains appropriate levels of communication with all levels of the organization and across various business segments.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills and leadership abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills, able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, and able to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Capable of challenging the status-quo and influencing the decision-making process.
  • Possesses excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Exposure to SAP would be considered an asset.
  • Bilingual (written and oral) would be considered an asset.

The incumbent of this position will provide daily support to internal and / or external clients outside Quebec and / or in the United States. Therefore, he / she must be proficient in spoken and written English. Please note that the number of positions requiring English language skills has been limited where possible.

85,400 - $142,400
