WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
Leading a team of Site Supervisors and/or Hourly employees, you will direct production operations for specific CBM Aggregate plants to ensure efficient use of resources, in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Comply with legislation and regulations from the Ministry of Labour, Environment, and Natural Resources. Implement training, administration, and compliance with applicable Health & Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
- Develop and supervise plans for the efficient use of raw materials, machines, and employees. Utilize SAP systems to ensure plants meet or exceed company goals, objectives, and financial performance targets. Review production costs, product quality, and modify production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operations of specific plants. Supervise production and storage of aggregate products in accordance with policies and procedures established by the Regional Manager.
- Review mining sequences, assist in developing mine planning, recommend budget requests and capital requirements to management, complete capital expenditure approval requests, and monitor large projects through completion. Approve expenditures within defined parameters.
- Source and secure quotes for maintenance materials for processing plants and mobile equipment.
- Troubleshoot plant processes to identify changes and improvements. Analyze operational data (e.g., Hobolink, KPIs, manufacturer reports) and develop appropriate actions.
- Manage raw feed and troubleshoot plant processes to identify and implement improvements.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
- At least 3 years of supervisory and/or managerial experience.
- Mechanical aptitude including hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity, and knowledge of aggregate composition. Ability to interpret technical documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Strong applied mathematical skills for calculating proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Excellent reasoning skills to solve practical problems with multiple variables.
- Knowledge of aggregate processing practices, equipment, and specifications relevant to the construction industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and SAP.
- Valid Ontario G driver's license, as daily travel to sites is required.
