The Successful Candidate will be required to provide a satisfactory Criminal Background Check including the Vulnerable Sector, which must be received in Human Resources prior to the commencement of employment. Please note, the Board does not assume any costs associated with the Criminal Reference Check.
Social Insurance Number (SIN), date of birth, and proof of educational qualifications will be required at the time of an offer of employment.

Under staff screening and police record checks, employees working in licensed child care programs are required to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check on or before every fifth anniversary after the date of the most recent check. Employees are also required to complete an annual offence declaration. Educators in Before and After School Programs must request a VSC through their local police service and submit the original copy to the Licensed Child Care Staff Record Site (LCCSR). A valid first aid and CPR certificate must be kept current. Employees may be required to work on PD days, Winter break, and March break when the program operates.
