Job description

Siam Surgery is looking to recruit an advanced nurse practitioner or nurse practitioner to join our multi-disciplinary team, to help us to transform and modernise pathways of care, enabling the safe and effective sharing of skills across traditional professional boundaries. This position is offered on a full-time basis (preferred) but hours can be negotiable for the right applicant.

This is an exciting opportunity to practice at an advanced level, managing complex cases, providing holistic care, and making a real impact on the health and wellbeing of our patient population.

Main duties of the job
  • Face to face and telephone consultations
  • Home visits
  • Working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary general practice team
About us

Siam Surgery is a semi-rural GMS practice which provides a high level of care to approximately 13,000 patients in Sudbury, Suffolk and its surrounding villages.

We operate from rented premises within Sudbury Community Health Centre which is a modern, well-equipped building with free onsite parking and is home to various other services; community nursing, West Suffolk Hospital outpatients, radiology, midwifery, phlebotomy, adult social care, mental health services, health visitors, school nursing and out of hours provisions.

Qualifications
  • NMC registered
  • MSc/Degree in Advanced Nursing or RCN accreditation of Masters level study
Experience
  • Advanced clinical assessment and examination skills
  • Management of patients with long-term health conditions
  • Management of patients with complex physical/psychological/social needs
  • Management of palliative and end of life patients
  • Nurse-led management of minor illness, minor ailments and injuries
  • Reliable and adaptable
  • Forward-thinking
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Highly motivated
  • Experience of SystmOne and ARDENS is desirable but not essential
