POSITION PURPOSE SUMMARY
Provide general administrative support for the day-to-day operations for Saskatoon Temple Community Services (Money Management).
ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Administration
- Perform general office duties such as answering and screening calls, greeting and escorting visitors. May serve as receptionist for work location.
- Draft and type correspondence or generate reports (eg. letters dealing with admin issues, dictation, acknowledgements, minutes etc). Research and respond to inquiries on behalf of supervisors and resolve routine inquiries.
- Draft and prepare presentations, brochures, flyers, advertisements, invitations, certificates subject to supervisory approval.
- File documents electronically and manually and distribute materials as requested.
- Send and receive faxes/emails as requested. May monitor general email accounts.
- Responsible for incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
- Prepare and maintain office supply inventory. Order office, cleaning and program supplies as needed. Prepare property inventory as requested by the Business Office. Maintain inventory and destruction schedule of files in storage.
- May maintain input into Salvation Army Management Information System - S.A.M.I.S.
- Enter data into TSA software programs (eg. Link2Feed, etc.)
- Responsible for financial procedures such as processing credit card donations on the Interac machine ensuring information for a receipt is recorded.
- Issue temporary receipts for all cash/cheque/debit/credit donations and payments received.
- May assist with deposits.
- Handle and ensure protection of extremely confidential and sensitive employee, client and/or program files.
- Ensure workspace is kept neat and tidy.
- Maintain coffee bar and surrounding areas.
- May schedule or keep track of supervisor’s calendar.
- Manage vehicle and room bookings as required.
- Ensure the Multipurpose Room and other rooms are ready for bookings and meetings and ensure cleanliness following usage.
- Keep staff bulletin board up to date and organized in consultation with HR Admin.
2. Program Support
- Register campers for camps and process/receive payments.
- Maintain list of campers and payments for CFS camps and Saskatoon Campers to Beaver Creek Camp.
- Gather documents/money etc. to go to Business office.
- Assist with registration and distribution of Christmas Hampers.
- Other duties as needed.
MANAGERIAL/TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITY
- This position reports directly to the Corps Officer.
- This position has no direct reports.
FINANCIAL AND MATERIALS MANAGEMENT
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Working environment is typically in the office in generally agreeable conditions.
- Occasional travel and some scheduled overtime are associated with this position.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of Secondary School or Equivalent.
- Certified Office Diploma, or equivalent experience an asset.
Experience and Skilled Knowledge Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years secretarial/ administrative experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office an asset.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Good decision-making and organizational skills.
Skills and Capabilities
- Attention to detail, problem solving and analytical skills.
- Strong sense of integrity and confidentiality with professional ethics and a balanced sense of fairness and flexibility.
- Able to work cooperatively in a team setting.
- Ability to multi‑task & prioritize responsibilities (i.e. good judgement).
- Ability to lift/move weights of up to 20 lbs. occasionally.
- Understanding of and support for the Mission and Ministry of The Salvation Army.
A vulnerable sector check and Praesidium Training is required.
This is funded through Canada Summer Jobs and therefore applicants must meet the hiring criteria for this program.
This is a temporary seasonal position.
Compensation
The target hiring range for this position is $15.69 to $19.62 with a maximum of $23.54. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
