Job Description

Harvard Developments is seeking a summer student to join our property management team in EDMONTON (Windermere) in a role of Administrator w/ Accounting (4 month term). This role involves assisting the Senior Property Administrator in reviewing tenant accounts, chargebacks and recoveries, forecasting, and analysis, while providing comprehensive administrative support for the office team, along with related business communication, general office and real estate administration duties for an assigned portfolio. This would be an ideal role for a student involved in accounting, administration, business or finance studies at a college or university level.

What you will bring to the job (or equivalent):

  • Experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting;
  • Familiarity with contract administration and an understanding of contract law;
  • Experience in financial systems, spreadsheets, and databases, with intermediate skills in financial management software;
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently;
  • Strong organizational skills, detail orientation, accuracy and comprehension;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer‑focused and collaborative approach;
  • A proactive, detail‑oriented, and problem‑solving mindset;
  • Successful course completion in accounting related post‑secondary courses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administration and Financial Management: Maintain accurate accounting records, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports as required while ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Generate and analyze financial reports, highlighting variances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Administrative Support: Coordinate with managers and other team members to streamline admin operations, ensuring accuracy in documentation and reporting.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Adhere to regulations, support audits, and implement best practices to maintain financial and operational integrity.
