A national organization supporting military personnel is seeking an Accounting Coordinator for a six-month deployment overseas. You will manage accounting services, provide financial advice, and enhance the morale of troops. Qualifications include a diploma in Business Administration and Canadian citizenship. Imagine the excitement and ability to show off your incredible skills in a deployed environment (overseas) for six months as an Accounting Coordinator supporting the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and partner nations from across the world! As a deployed Accountant, you are not just completing accounting duties, but enhancing the morale and welfare of all the troops deployed.
The Accounting Coordinator is part of an enthusiastic team of adventurous individuals who enjoys meaningful employment and contributing in a team‑based environment. Excited by the opportunity to deploy as a civilian among CAF personnel abroad, you are a team player with a positive attitude in a fast‑paced setting. You are able to adapt to new challenges in an ever‑changing dynamic environment.
The Accounting Coordinator plans, organizes, and manages the delivery of accounting services and programs. You will provide advice and interpretation on accounting and administrative policies to managers and senior military officers. You will notify and report any unusual trends/activities to managers for further investigations. You will act as Comptroller to the military Commander and provide accounting control over assets and liabilities. You will also provide assistance and training to employees, managers and military personnel assigned to Morale & Welfare (MW) programs on accounting/finance related topics/programs.
In addition, the Accounting Coordinator can play an important role in enhancing the morale of CAF and partner nations by assisting with recreational activities and events. Keeping the military energized ensures they are mentally and physically ready to sustain the difficulties of military operations, and live healthy balanced lives.

Civilian deployment contracts are 6-month terms. Deployment start dates may take place within the next 2 years.
Maximum 56 hours per week, which includes weekdays and weekends.
