This is a remote-first position, with an expectation of at least 1x in-office day a week. As a result, candidates must be within driving distance of Toronto.

Role Overview

As an Account Executive at Mixtape, you are the day-to-day driver of projects and the steady hand that keeps both clients and internal teams aligned. You manage the details, protect timelines, and ensure work moves forward smoothly from intake to delivery.

You’ll operate independently while always having support from Senior Account Leadership and the broader team. This role is equal parts relationship manager, organizer, and problem-solver, with a strong focus on clarity, accountability, and momentum.

What You’ll Do
Project Leadership
  • Lead projects day-to-day from kickoff through delivery, partnering with Senior Account Leadership as needed.
  • Develop and manage timelines in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of project status, next steps, and responsibilities at all times.
  • Manage creative teams during execution to ensure work stays aligned and on track.
  • Develop Scopes of Work with support from leadership when required.
Client Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day client communication.
  • Keep clients informed on status, timing, deliverables, and next steps.
  • Bring the "client lens" into internal reviews to ensure work aligns with expectations and the creative brief.
  • Attend production shoots as needed to support client needs and help ensure smooth execution.
Collaboration & Development
  • Contribute to the creation of creative briefs by adding a strategic perspective and partnering with leadership.
  • Support Creative and Strategy teams in building presentation decks that tell a clear, cohesive story.
  • Develop content calendars for social media clients in partnership with the team.
  • Help identify opportunities to grow existing client relationships and share them with leadership.
Operational Excellence
  • Be highly detail-oriented and organized so nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Check work carefully to ensure accuracy and alignment with feedback.
  • Champion accountability and clarity across the team.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in advertising.
