Overview

310T Heavy Duty Technician - Cote Gold (Mining Tire Group)

Kal Tire is Canada’s largest independent tire dealer and one of North America’s largest commercial tire dealers. Kal Tire’s Mining Tire Group is a leader in mining tire service and supply, servicing more than 150 mine sites across five continents.

Cote Gold The Côté Gold Project is located in the Chester and Yeo Townships, District of Sudbury, in northeastern Ontario. It is approximately 20 km southwest of Gogama, 130 km southwest of Timmins, and 200 km northwest of Sudbury, roughly 5 km west of Highway 144. The Project area is characterized by gentle hills, forests, lakes and rivers and is located on two subwatersheds, the Mollie River system and the Mesomikenda River system. The continental watershed divide is located south of the Project property, with the nearest boundary located southwest and more than 3.5 km from the proposed open-pit location.

This position will be a 2 week in, 2 week out schedule (with potential change to 1 week in 1 week out). This will be on an averaging agreement. Must be based out of Timmins, Sudbury, or Northbay (and surrounding areas of each).

Cote will provide camp and bus transportation to the site from muster points:

  • Sudbury
  • Timmins (Kal Tire)
  • Gogama

Responsibilities

As a qualified 310T Heavy Duty Technician, you will be primarily responsible for performing repairs on a wide range of vehicles in a fast-paced and customer-focused environment. You will be skilled in executing inspections, diagnostics, adjustments, automotive service, and general maintenance on automobiles.

Qualifications
  • You are certified with 310t Automotive Service Technician or licensed Mechanic.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in front-end brakes, shocks, and wheel alignment.
  • Skilled at inspections, diagnostics, adjustments, service, and repair on a wide variety of vehicles.
  • Ability to excel in a physically demanding environment that includes heavy lifting and moving constantly throughout the day.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience and a strong awareness of working in a safety-focused environment.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to assist in identifying potential mechanical opportunities with the Sales team.
