Hours of Work: Day Shift; Monday to Friday (6:00 AM to 3:30 PM)

Reporting to the Fleet Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing maintenance and repairs to the Dufferin Concrete & Ontario Redimix fleet of vehicles.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections, diagnosis, and repair ready‑mix trucks through preventative & scheduled maintenance.
• Perform removal, rework and installation of various engine and chassis components.
• Use leading diagnostic technology to identify breakdowns.
• Order required parts and maintain parts inventory.
• Document repairs on work orders and complete inspection sheets as required.
• Communicate with operations and supervisory staff on availability of equipment.
• Prioritize jobs and work safely on all equipment.
• Follow shop procedures and company policies relating to use of shop and Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
• All other duties as required.

Requirements:

• Registered as a 310T Truck and Coach Technician Apprentice
• Currently at Level 3 (Advanced) of the apprenticeship program.
• Progress toward completion of 6,000 hours on‑job training and 720 hours in‑school training (240 hours per level).
• Ability to perform advanced tasks, including diagnostics, electronic systems, and complex repairs.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a safety‑first approach.
• Ability to travel to local sites as required.
