Position Title: Maintenance and Facilities Coordinator
Location: Acheson, Alberta
Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Department: Corporate Services
Reports To: CEO
Start Date: November 1, 2025

Associated Ambulance, with over 40 years of experience in Emergency Medical Services, is proud to be the largest private EMS operator in Alberta. We deliver Advanced Life Support (ALS), Basic Life Support (BLS) and Inter Facility Transfer Services to 22 rural and 2 metro locations across Alberta.

Associated Ambulance is currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Maintenance and Facilities Coordinator to join our organization. This vital role ensures our facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained; supporting a productive and efficient environment for staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performs the regular maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, and grounds.
  • Coordinate and schedule work with vendors, contractors, and service providers.
  • Maintain and update schedules for ongoing and upcoming maintenance activities, coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
  • Identify building and/or property deficiencies.
  • Respond to emergent maintenance repairs in a timely manner.
  • Manage cleaning, security, and other facility-related services.
  • Track inventory, supplies, and maintenance budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Serve as the primary contact for facility-related inquiries and concerns.
  • Implement preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime and costs.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, contracts, and inspections.
Logistics
  • Monday to Friday (Occasional emergency after hours and weekend work may be required).
  • Hours of work: 0800-1600. These hours are flexible and may vary dependent on travel. This is a salaried position with possibility of overtime.
  • The position will entail 50-75% travel across the province.
  • A fleet vehicle will be provided for work travel purposes.
  • Must have availability for overnight travel, sometimes for multiple days at a time per month.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in facility management, building maintenance, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) is an asset.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and maintenance management software.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean abstract.
