Please note: This posting is for a 4-month Winter 2026 Student placement with a start date of January 2026 and end date of April 2026. To be eligible for this 4-month Student position, you must either:

  • Be returning to school after the work term end-date of April 2026; or
  • If you are not returning to school (i.e., you are graduating in December 2025 or April 2026), you must require the full 4-month term as a mandatory component to graduate successfully.

Please ensure that you meet these eligibility requirements before applying – candidates who apply but are found to be ineligible are not able to be considered.

What is the opportunity?

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic student to join the Distribution Performance Management Reporting Team (focused on Personal Banking). You will have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience, develop new skills (technical and leadership), and contribute toward the success of RBC Personal Banking’s strategic priorities. The role will require the student with technical aptitude to assist in a major migration initiative using their Python skills. Furthermore, you will play a key lead role in an initiative to develop a proof of concept for Self-Serve Reporting for our national office partners. Specifically, the student will collaborate and coordinate with various partners across the organization to deliver a robust solution.

What will you do?
  • Participate in strategic projects such as SAS to Python Migration
  • Lead a project to develop and deliver a proof of concept for Self-Serve Reporting
  • Participate in initiatives that streamline existing processes and improve user experiences
  • Develop and maintain relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Perform other duties as required (ad hoc queries)
What do you need to succeed?

Must have

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution studying Bachelors in: Business-Technology Management, Computer Science or similar degree programs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
  • Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic
  • Software skills: Python; SQL skills; Tableau
