Job summary
A leading tech company is seeking an Intermediate Android (Kotlin) Developer for a 3-month contract with potential extensions. This remote position based in Brazil requires 40 hours per week and focuses on designing and building functional Android applications. Key responsibilities include writing clean Kotlin code, working with the Android SDK, and creating user-friendly interfaces. Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of Android Development experience and familiarity with modern development practices.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with Android Development, including the latest version of Android SDK.
- Ability to write clean code in Kotlin.
- Working experience with Android Jetpack and Design Patterns.
Responsibilities
- Designing and building functional Android applications.
- Writing code using Java and Kotlin for app logic and features.
- Utilizing Android SDK to access device features.
- Designing user-friendly interfaces consistent with Android guidelines.
- Developing logical navigation flows within the app.
- Ensuring app function on various Android devices.
- Conducting thorough testing to identify bugs and performance issues.
- Using debugging tools to resolve app code issues.
Skills
Contract : 3 months + extensions
Remote : Brazil - 40 hours / wk
Rate : USD $15-19 / hr
- 3+ years of experience with Android Development, including the latest version of Android SDK
- Ability to write clean code in Kotlin
- Working experience with Android Jetpack and Design Patterns (MVVM, MVP, MVI)
- Familiarity with RESTful and / or GraphQL APIs
- Familiarity with building and optimizing CI / CD pipelines on GitHub actions
- Other mobile development experience, including iOS development using Swift, or cross-platform development with React Native or Flutter
- Designing and Building Apps: This involves translating design concepts and user requirements into functional Android applications.
- Writing Code: Using programming languages like Java and Kotlin to create the app's logic, features, and user interface.
- Working with the Android SDK: Utilizing the Android Software Development Kit (SDK) to access device features like the camera, GPS, and sensors.
- Creating User-Friendly Interfaces: Designing intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces that are consistent with Android design guidelines.
- Implementing App Navigation: Developing clear and logical navigation flows within the app.
- Optimizing for Different Screen Sizes: Ensuring the app looks and functions correctly on a variety of Android devices with different screen sizes and resolutions.
- Testing App Functionality: Conducting thorough testing to identify and fix bugs, errors, and performance issues.
- Debugging Code: Using debugging tools to identify and resolve issues in the app's code.
