A technology solutions company based in São Paulo is seeking a Data Engineer to join its engineering team. The role requires 3+ years of backend experience, strong Java skills, and hands-on Big Data experience with tools such as Hadoop and Spark. You will be responsible for building and enhancing backend features, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and developing components for large-scale systems. The position offers a competitive salary of $2200 USD monthly for a 6-month contract.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of backend engineering experience.
- Java backend skills including REST APIs and data processing.
- Hands-on experience with Hadoop, Spark, and MapReduce.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (fluent required).

About the role : Role : Data Engineer
Location : São Paulo, Brazil
Duration : 6 months
Salary : $ 2200 USD monthly (FTE)
We're looking for a Data Engineer with backend experience to join a high-impact engineering team building large-scale user-facing products.
Build and enhance backend features end to end : requirements, implementation, automated testing, A / B testing, and launch validation.
Collaborate with product, design, and client teams to deliver complete functionality.
Develop reliable, maintainable backend components used by other engineers.
Work on large-scale, distributed, and data-intensive systems.
3+ years of backend engineering experience.
Java backend skills (REST APIs, caching, storage, data processing).
Hands-on Big Data experience : Hadoop, Spark, MapReduce (active migration from MR → Spark).
Experience in consumer apps, social media, or large-scale platforms (not financial systems).
Ability to communicate clearly in English (fluent required) and collaborate effectively across global teams.
