A leading software management firm is seeking an IT Software License Specialist to analyze software usage and drive compliance for licenses. The role requires strong analytical skills and significant experience with software licensing, along with proficiency in ServiceNow. This remote position involves managing license tracking, supporting audits, and creating insightful reports and dashboards for stakeholders. Candidates with an associate's degree and 14 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

Role: IT Software License Specialist
Position Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week)
Contract Duration: 6 Months+ (with a possibility of extension)
Work Hours: UST Time
Work Schedule: 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri)
Location: 100% Remote
Join our Software Asset Management (SAM) team under Enterprise Architecture and help drive license compliance, cost optimization, and effective software governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze software usage to identify underutilized licenses and cost-saving opportunities
- Manage license tracking, entitlements, and usage across systems
- Support internal/external software audits and license compliance
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and license procurement
- Work with SAM tools (ServiceNow) and vendor software portals
- Create reports and dashboards for stakeholders
Requirements:
- 14 years of relevant experience
- Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s preferred (IT/CS or related)
- Strong understanding of software licensing and SAM methodologies
- Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
- Experience with ServiceNow Software Asset Management preferred
