Work on the Brazil Payments team to enable a wide range of payment options for Amazon customers in Brazil. Develop new payment integrations and enhance existing payment flows to improve the customer experience. Collaborate cross-functionally with product, operations, and other engineering teams to deliver reliable and scalable payment solutions. Mentor junior engineers and continuously improve engineering practices and standards.

• Integrate new payment methods (e.g. local credit/debit cards, digital wallets, bank transfers) into the Amazon platform
• Enhance existing payment flows to optimize conversion, reduce friction, and improve reliability
• Ensure payment systems are highly available, secure, and able to handle growing transaction volumes
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to maintain quality
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and technical debt

• Work closely with product managers to understand customer needs and translate them into technical solutions
• Collaborate with payment providers and other partners to onboard new payment methods
• Review code changes, provide feedback, and ensure adherence to engineering best practices
• Investigate and resolve production issues, working with the operations team to maintain high availability
• Participate in team meetings to discuss progress, blockers, and future plans

The Brazil Payments team is responsible for enabling a wide range of payment options for Amazon customers in Brazil. We work to continuously improve the payment experience, increase conversion, and support the growth of Amazon's business in the region. Qualifications: 4+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
