What will you do as a Senior Software Test Designer?

As a Senior Software Test Designer, you will lead the development of automated tests and qualification tools. You will design and implement smart testing strategies, optimize processes, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and continuous improvement. By mentoring junior engineers and acting as a sparring partner for customers, you will help raise the bar for quality and innovation.

Your responsibilities as a Senior Software Test Designer

• Oversee the entire testing architecture and strategies from planning to execution, developing automated test capabilities and defining effective processes.
• Write software (C++, C, Python) for objective, reproducible, and maintainable automated tests and tools for qualification and integration.
• Explore different solution approaches to achieve the best result and design, implement, and optimize chosen solutions.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in an international, multidisciplinary, and Agile environment.
• Review code, mentor junior engineers, and share expertise to elevate the team, quality, and processes.
• Act as an advisor and sparring partner for customers and stakeholders, inspiring others to strive for quality.

What do you bring as a Senior Software Test Designer?

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Embedded Systems or similar.
• At least 7 years of experience in software development with Python and C / C++ in the high‑tech domain.
• Capability to define and oversee the complete test architecture and strategy, ensuring consistency and quality from planning to execution.
• Background in software development / automation, experience with Object‑Oriented programming and developing test frameworks for complex embedded systems.
• Preferably experience with end‑to‑end test automation, continuous integration and setting up and maintaining ROBOT test framework.
• Proven experience with various testing techniques, solid knowledge of higher‑level testing (system integration, component testing), and familiarity with methods such as BDD, keyword‑driven testing, data‑driven testing, model‑based testing, and property‑based testing.
• Team player, solution‑oriented, and proactive.
• Motivation to continuously improve yourself and develop new skills.
• Good command of English and preferably Dutch language.
