What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prepare the regional annual business plan for Specification in support of company objectives and present it to AVP and VP Sales.
- Manage employees in the assigned region, establishing performance standards and providing ongoing feedback and evaluations.
- Develop agency salespeople within the region to maximize sales efforts through Specification influences.
- Conduct sales presentations for Specifiers, Contracts, and agents to drive sales.
- Collaborate with inside sales and engineering teams to deliver accurate and timely information to customers.
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Lighting/Electrical Industry, with at least 5 years of managerial experience and 5 years of specification experience.
- BS or BA from an accredited university; MBA preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of products, geographic markets, and channels served, as well as the electrical and lighting industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and manage others effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.
