What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Prepare the regional annual business plan for Specification in support of company objectives and present it to AVP and VP Sales.
  • Manage employees in the assigned region, establishing performance standards and providing ongoing feedback and evaluations.
  • Develop agency salespeople within the region to maximize sales efforts through Specification influences.
  • Conduct sales presentations for Specifiers, Contracts, and agents to drive sales.
  • Collaborate with inside sales and engineering teams to deliver accurate and timely information to customers.
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Lighting/Electrical Industry, with at least 5 years of managerial experience and 5 years of specification experience.
  • BS or BA from an accredited university; MBA preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of products, geographic markets, and channels served, as well as the electrical and lighting industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and manage others effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.

  • Proven ability to foster open communication and support an innovative and creative environment.
  • Strong project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software, as well as meeting management tools.
  • Knowledge of CSI sections 25 and 26.
