A leading transportation solutions company in São Paulo is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to manage 3D and 2D design deliverables in rail systems. The ideal candidate has 2 to 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering within a heavy industry context, is proficient in CATIA V5, and can effectively communicate in English. Responsibilities include performing space allocations, detailed design, and supporting supplier discussions. Qualificações

• 2 to 3 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, including 3D Modelling and drawing creation.
• Design experience in the railway industry is a plus.

• Supporting technical discussions with suppliers.

Specific responsibilities of the role

Performance Measurement/KPI’s

• On-time delivery of 3D
• On-time delivery of 2D or annotated 3D
• Quality of deliverables (first time right)

Responsibilities

• Accountable and responsible for:
  • Tender: p erforming space allocation according to MLE inputs
  • Project: p erforming and maintaining SAM (Space Allocation Mock up) in accordance with progressive maturity rules considering all constraints
    • Creating annotated SAM for exchanges with suppliers
    • Checking compliancy of suppliers feedback with relevant SAM
    • Performing 3D detailed design of design make parts considering
      • Allocated volumes given as inputs
      • Interfaces defined with stakeholders
      • Technical referential (materials characteristics)
      • Manufacturability and maintainability constraints
    • Supporting technical discussions with suppliers to converge on technical definition
    • Performing 2D or annotated 3D detailed design of design make parts considering internal rules of data structuration
    • Producing installation deliverables
    • Instructing Engineering Change Requests
    • Specifying and verifying activities or tasks delegated to Shared Engineering Center (SEC mode)

Contributes to

• Providing weight data to Weight Discipline Engineer
• Stack up calculations
• Expertise in ALSTOM production sites or supplier premises for FAI and type tests

Qualifications & Experience

Educational Requirements & Experience

Mandatory

• Graduated from Mechanical Engineering school

Experience

• Mechanical Engineering preferably applied to heavy industry with 2 to 3 years of experience (including 3D Modelling and drawing creation)

Desirable

• Design in railway industry
