The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in consulting methodologies and deep expertise in automation and digitalization. Responsibilities include managing complex consulting projects, building client relationships, and guiding a dedicated team to drive solutions addressing industry challenges. Fluency in English and Portuguese is mandatory.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree preferably but not limited to electrics or automation engineering.
• In-depth understanding of the mining industry and its operational processes.
• Deep expertise in automation and digitalization solutions is required.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the development and implementation of the Consulting business strategy.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders within Mining companies.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and uncover new consulting opportunities.
• Manage and execute complex consulting projects for mining clients.
• Ensure timely, high-quality delivery on assignments.
• Coach and develop team members, establishing best practices.

Your role and responsibilities

As the Head of Consulting Services - Mining Industry with ABB Process Industries Division, you will be at the forefront of building a new business dedicated to delivering specialized consulting services for the mining industry.

Your mission will be to shape this area from the design of innovative service offerings to establishing a team of top experts to address the unique challenges and opportunities within Mining business line.

This opportunity combines business and technical leadership with strategic vision, creating impactful solutions that will set new standards in mining automation, digitalization, and process optimization.

• Strategic Development : Lead the development and implementation of the Consulting business strategy and play a pivotal role in aligning services to client needs.
• Client Engagement and business development : Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders within Mining companies, driving strategic discussions, technical guidance, and identifying client consulting needs.
• Risk and Opportunity Management : Identify and mitigate project risks since the proposal stage until its closing while uncovering opportunities for new or recurrent consulting engagements.
• Lead Consulting Assignments : Manage and execute complex consulting projects for mining clients, delivering tailored solutions that meet industry-specific challenges.
• Project Leadership : Ensure timely, high-quality delivery on assignments, managing resources effectively within cost targets.
• Knowledge Sharing : Coach and develop team members, establishing best practices and sharing key insights to enhance team performance.
• Team Leadership : Leading and mentoring teams, ensuring effective collaboration and performance

Qualifications for the role

• Strong knowledge and hands‑on experience with consulting methodologies.
• Deep expertise in automation and digitalization solutions is required.
• Electrification and robotics expertise is desirable.
• Fluent English and Portuguese is mandatory.
• Spanish is desirable.
