Summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation seeks a self‑motivated manager to join its Hyatt of Brazil accounting and finance team.

The Opportunity

Responsibilities include general oversight of assigned processes within the Hyatt monthly and quarterly close process. This includes the review and approval of account reconciliations and journal entries from third‑party accounting services, review and processing of payroll and vendor invoices, cash flow and expense reports, acting as legal representative and associated billings to hotels, review of the annual budget, overseeing cash management for certain bank accounts (e.g., FF&E), overseeing the coordination with auditors, and other corporate departments.

Who You Are
The Role

Responsibilities include general oversight of sample processes.

This includes preparation and review of sample work, monthly and quarterly sample work, and analytics across sample functions. Additional responsibilities include assisting in enhancing the sample focus area and participating in special projects incorporating a wide range of sample function exposure.

  • Focusing on Hyatt Accounts Receivables to assigned markets
  • Travel up to 10%
  • The Finance Manager will also act as an intermediator for the various third parties concerning finance, legal, and tax.
  • Focus on Special initiatives
  • Participate in the Budget and Forecast process for the entity
  • Must be proficient and comfortable with technology—particularly in the use of Hotel Finance Management systems, Excel, Oracle, and Hyperion preferred
  • Additional responsibilities include assisting in the enhancement of internal controls and participating in special projects that incorporate a wide range of accounting exposure and overseeing the development of one senior accountant
  • Any other duties specified by the Regional Vice President of Finance - LAC
Qualifications
  • Required: 5+ years of experience in corporate accounting, public accounting, or any other equivalent business / financial role
  • Preferred: Supervisory responsibilities or other experience that requires ensuring the quality of work delivered by other individuals.
