A leading global cloud services provider is seeking an experienced engineer for data center design in Barueri, Brazil. This role involves conducting site assessments, collaborating on engineering standards, and ensuring compliance with infrastructure requirements. Ideal candidates will possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering and relevant experience in data center operations. Join a diverse team committed to workplace inclusivity and innovation.
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain and are looking for talented people who want to help.
You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.
Are you an engineer with a passion for data center design and looking for a challenge to chart your own course? If so, we are looking for you to help us make history.
AWS data centers are the foundation upon which our software and services operate to meet the growing demands of our customers. This role provides the opportunity to collaborate with business development, design engineers, data center operations professionals, external vendors and consultants, and other cross‑functional teams to assess and select colocation facilities that meet our business requirements.
You will be able to showcase your in-depth understanding of data center design, engineering, and operations of infrastructure common to data centers, telecommunications facilities, and other critical environmental infrastructure.
You will work directly with internal business teams and with colocation vendors to identify, document, and resolve any operational / design deficiencies which could impact a site’s capability or availability.
You will have opportunities to influence standards for data center products, build and improve processes, and guide the direction of our colocation data center portfolio on a global scale. So if you are a strong leader with solid data center MEPS (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural) infrastructure design engineering experience, Amazon will present a fast‑paced, fun and exciting work environment that is unique in every aspect and offers an exceptional, rewarding opportunity for you.
Amazon values diverse experiences. Even if you do not meet all of the preferred qualifications and skills listed in the job description, we encourage candidates to apply. If your career has just started, hasn’t followed a traditional path, or includes alternative experiences, don’t let it stop you from applying.
