Full Job Description

Chief Information Officer (CIO) at EdgeUno

You will play a crucial role in shaping and executing our technology strategy to enhance operational efficiency managing IT, Software Development, System Administration, Datacenter and Platform Engineering, optimize business processes, and drive innovation in our services.

Your extensive experience in telecommunications will be essential in spearheading the development and deployment of advanced network solutions to meet the evolving needs of our diverse clientele.

Core Responsibilities

1. Technology Strategy and Leadership:

• Develop and communicate a comprehensive technology vision aligned with EdgeUno's overall business objectives.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to define and implement the technology roadmap, ensuring it supports the company's growth and competitive advantage.
• Lead the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and collaboration.

2. Telecommunications Expertise:

• Utilize your deep understanding of telecommunications technologies and industry trends to design, implement, and manage cutting-edge network solutions for EdgeUno's clients.
• Oversee the development and operation of telecommunications infrastructure, ensuring high availability, reliability, and security.

3. Data Center and Cloud Services:

• Provide strategic direction for the design, deployment, and optimization of data center and cloud services to meet customer demands and industry standards.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to develop scalable and efficient data center solutions.

4. Information Security and Compliance:

• Spearhead information security efforts, implementing best practices and robust security measures to protect EdgeUno's assets and customer data.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards related to information security and data privacy.

5. Vendor and Partner Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key technology vendors and partners to stay up-to-date with industry trends and evaluate new solutions.
• Negotiate contracts and service level agreements to ensure optimal pricing and service quality.

6. Budgeting and Cost Optimization:

• Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources and technology investments.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising service quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in senior IT leadership roles, with a strong focus on telecommunications and network management.
• Extensive knowledge of telecommunications technologies, including data center infrastructure, cloud services, and network solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute technology strategies aligned with business goals.
• In-depth understanding of information security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Track record of managing large-scale projects and driving innovation within an organization.
• Proven experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and cost optimization.
• Certifications in relevant IT and telecommunications domains are desirable.
• Professional proficiency in English and Spanish or Portuguese.
