Job Description

The Bid Process Specialist for Brazil, reporting to the Associate Director of Commercial Operations, will focus primarily on the entire BIDs process, from capture of editais to preparation of all documentation to participate in the BID process, and participation in the BID session. After the BID, this person will follow the process until we receive the Purchase Order. This person will also focus on expanding our reach within the Brazilian market, generating new contacts and leads for the sales team, leading to new customers, business relationships and sales opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of bidding laws and resource assembly and an ability to work both independently and collaboratively on problems of diverse scope to support the achievement of national sales objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the whole bidding process from capture of editais to preparation of documentation and participation in BID sessions.
  • Research, analyze and identify Brazilian researchers and groups that might be interested in or benefit from next-generation sequencing.
  • Lead prospecting activities to identify new customers within the Brazil market.
  • Identify new end users within existing customer accounts to increase sales opportunities.
  • Generate lists of qualified target prospects for outbound marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain information within lead databases and customer relationship management (CRM) platform.
  • Develop and execute strategies to reach out to potential customers and collaborate with the sales and commercial development teams to create effective lead generation campaigns and streamlined customer communication plans.
  • Evaluate prospect’s needs and goals prior to handing leads off to the sales team.
  • Track and report on lead generation performance metrics and continuously refine your approach to optimize results.

Position Requirements
  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in bidding process is required.
  • Experience in lead generation/prospecting in genomics, life sciences, pharma, medical device or related fields preferred.
  • Knowledge of genetics, genomics, bioinformatics and related applications and techniques (eg. PCR, NGS) and knowledge of related market in Brazil.
  • Ability to conduct market research for targeted leads.
  • Highly self-motivated, adaptable, independent individual who is a quick learner, with excellent project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team player in a dynamic, fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Experience with CRM (Salesforce) and lead nurturing strategies preferred but not required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Advanced English (preferred).
