AI Engineer (Early-Stage AI Startup) Remote US / Los Angeles Time (preferred)
Overview
Startup environment — high ownership, high impact
COR is an early-stage AI startup building intelligent agents for agencies and modern teams. We're not experimenting — we're building real AI systems used in production.
What You'll Build
- Production‑grade AI systems that solve real business problems
- Backend services and APIs powering AI agents and workflows
- Model inference pipelines and AI integrations used by real users
- Scalable systems that combine AI + backend engineering
- Infrastructure that actually ships — not demo notebooks
What You'll Do
- Design and build backend services using Go (Golang)
- Develop and integrate AI / ML models using Python
- Deploy AI models into real production environments
- Build APIs and microservices that power AI features
- Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability
- Collaborate closely with product, founders, and engineering
- Take ownership from idea → implementation → production
What We're Looking For
- Strong hands‑on experience with Go (Golang) (non‑negotiable)
- Strong experience with Python
- Experience deploying AI / ML models to production
- Solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals
- Comfortable working across backend systems and AI pipelines
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, or DigitalOcean)
Nice to Have (Big Plus)
- Experience with MLOps, model monitoring, or CI / CD
- Docker / Kubernetes experience
- NLP, GenAI, or LLM‑based systems
- Experience building early‑stage products or startups
- Comfort working in fast‑moving, slightly messy environments
What This Is NOT
- Not a research‑only role
- Not a corporate environment
- Not a "wait for specs" job
- Not for someone who doesn't enjoy building things that ship
Why Join COR
- Work directly with the founder
- Real ownership and technical influence
- Build AI systems from the ground up
- Shape architecture, product, and engineering culture
- Early‑stage role with long‑term upside
