Job Description

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings, plans, and layouts for roads, highways, bridges, drainage systems, sewerage networks, water supply networks, and other civil infrastructure projects based on engineering specifications, sketches, and calculations.
• Utilize AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software (e.g., Civil 3D, MicroStation) to create and modify drawings.
• Ensure all drawings adhere to relevant industry standards, project specifications, and company guidelines.
• Incorporate design changes and revisions accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and material schedules from drawings as required.
• Collaborate effectively with civil engineers, surveyors, and other project team members to ensure accurate and coordinated drawings.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date drawing files and documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings upon project completion.
• Identify and report any potential discrepancies or inconsistencies in drawings and specifications.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest drafting techniques and software advancements.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Drafting, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience minimum 3 years as a Civil Draftsman, preferably with a focus on roads and infrastructure projects.
• Excellent proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
• Working knowledge of Civil 3D or MicroStation is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering drawings, symbols, and terminology.
• Ability to interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and survey data.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with local regulations and standards in the UAE is an advantage.
