Job summary
A leading airline and ground handling service provider in Abu Dhabi is looking for a skilled Vehicle Maintenance Technician. The role involves performing maintenance and repairs on both light and heavy vehicles and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining thorough documentation. Candidates should have a Diploma in Automobile Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience, including proficiency in hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy duty diesel mobile units.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
- Familiarity with maintenance documentation and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform schedule and unscheduled maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environment regulations.
- Identify faults and perform repairs using reference materials.
Skills
Education
Carries out schedule and unscheduled maintenance and repairs of vehicles (light and heavy) and equipment such as ground power units, towing tugs, air supply units, etc. In order to provide a safe, reliable and cost-effective equipment for the end user.
- Ensure that compliance to health, safety and environment regulations on the care and handling of equipment and ensure adherence to manufacturer standards.
- Identifies faults and defects and performs repairs utilizing reference materials such as drawing and wiring diagrams and schematics and technical publications.
- Ensure that all documentation required related to work is completed and signed and properly archived.
- Diploma in Automobile Engineering
- Minimum of 5years of experience in heavy duty diesel mobile units with a minimum of 3 years GSE experience.
- Knowledge of engine transmission, hydraulic and pneumatic.
