Job Purpose

To carry out effective and efficient repair and maintenance of customer vehicles and tyre repair machines following approved manufacturers repair techniques.

Job Requirements

Education/Certification and Continued Education

  • Diploma in Automotive Engineering
  • Industrial Technical Institute (ITI) certified Auto Technician Course

Years of Experience

  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a Tyre technician
Essential Roles and Responsibilities
  • Collect job orders and carry out all tyre related jobs using the specialized equipment
  • Service personal tools, equipment, keep work area clean and comply with health and safety standards.
  • Calibrate equipment periodically to ensure accuracy of results.
  • Periodically upgrade software and the data in the alignment machine as and when new model vehicles arrive.
  • Ensure accurate fault diagnosis and effective utilization of time allocated for the repairs.
  • Report to the Team Leader of any delays in repairs due to unavailability of parts and equipment.
  • Keep the used tyre’s/rims in the designated location and report to the Manager to dispose them periodically as per company policy.
  • Keep all personal tools safe. Any breakages or accidents must be reported to the Team Leader / Supervisor immediately.
  • Ensure efficiency and productivity is maintained above 100%.
  • To work extra hours in case the job needs to be completed to ensure customer satisfaction as per Team Leader’s requirement
