Job summary
A leading hotel chain in Abu Dhabi is looking for a skilled Mason to perform a variety of civil works and maintenance tasks, ensuring the upkeep of the hotel facilities. The ideal candidate must have a diploma in masonry and at least 3 years of experience in a similar role. You will be responsible for managing stocks, executing plumbing work, and adhering to operational standards. Qualifications
- At least 3 years experience in masonry work.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Responsibilities
- Perform all assigned civil works duties and maintenance.
- Execute plumbing work to high standards.
- Maintain and manage workshop stocks.
Skills
Education
- Carry out all tiles grouting and blocking and other assigned civil works duties within the complex
- Carry out preventive maintenance schedules for masonry jobs as directed by Superiors
- Repair maintain and alter buildings retaining walls and other brick or stone edifices
- Mix mortar lay bricks and stones or concrete sidewalks and make and repair steps
- Patch and replace brick or stonework chimneys
- Install and repair tile floors or walls
- Read blueprints and plaster ceilings or walls
- Estimate masonry jobs and carry out carpentry work incidental to masonry work.
- Executes all plumbing and associated work to the highest professional standards for the whole complex
- Performs the tasks assigned to him and ensures their implementation while working independently.
- Acts on issues and concerns in his activity field immediately.
- Must be able to control the stocks and other items in his workshop and order more as required.
- Abides to the daily task and ensures timely implementation.
- Checks extra needs of a guest.
- Ensures oneself is thoroughly familiar with the hotel's emergency procedures and in a state of preparedness for any emergency which may occur.
- Is familiar with all related company documentation and especially with the relevant Operational Standards Manual for his/her field of responsibility.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Assist in Task Force Teams for new openings
- Carry out any other reasonable task (which may not be stated here) as requested.
- Education: Diploma / Certificate in Masonry
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in a similar
- Other: Should be able to communicate well in English.
