Emirates Park Zoo & Resort is seeking a creative and skilled Video/Photographer and Editor to capture the essence of our wildlife, visitors, and resort experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality visual content (both photos and videos) for marketing, promotional, and social media purposes. This role combines photography and videography skills with editing expertise to produce content that showcases the zoo’s unique experiences, conservation efforts, and overall guest enjoyment.

Key Responsibilities:
    • Capture high-quality photographs and videos of animals, events, visitors, exhibits, and resort activities.
    • Document key moments such as animal births, zoo events, educational programs, and special occasions.
    • Shoot both on-location and studio content for various marketing campaigns, including social media, website, advertisements, and newsletters.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to create visual storytelling that aligns with the brand image and communication objectives.
    • Edit raw footage and photos into polished, engaging content, ensuring the final product meets the required standards and brand guidelines.
    • Use video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom) to enhance content quality.
    • Add music, voiceovers, captions, and other effects to videos as needed.
    • Produce short-form and long-form video content for different platforms (e.g., Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, website).
    • Assist in brainstorming and developing creative ideas for photoshoots, video shoots, and content series.
    • Work with the marketing and creative teams to align video and photo content with campaign goals and brand vision.
    • Stay updated with the latest trends in visual content and social media platforms to keep the zoo’s content fresh and innovative.
    • Organize and maintain a well-structured media library of photos and video files for easy retrieval.
    • Ensure all content is edited and delivered in a timely manner according to project deadlines.
    • Coordinate with the marketing team to ensure assets are properly formatted and optimized for various digital platforms.
    • Handle and maintain photography and videography equipment, ensuring proper care and troubleshooting when needed.
    • Stay updated with the latest camera and editing equipment/software to improve content quality and efficiency.

Requirements
  • Experience:

    • At least 2-3 years of experience in photography and videography, with a strong portfolio showcasing wildlife, event, and lifestyle photography.
    • Experience in video and photo editing, preferably in a corporate or creative agency environment.
  • Other Skills

    • Proficient with industry-standard editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom).
    • Strong knowledge of camera settings, lighting techniques, and video production tools.
    • Experience with drone videography and photography is a plus.
    • Strong creative vision to capture compelling images and videos that engage and tell a story.
    • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring all content meets high-quality standards.
    • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with the marketing, education, and events teams.
    • Ability to take direction while also contributing creative ideas and input.
    • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple shoots and editing tasks simultaneously.
    • Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
    • A passion for wildlife and conservation, and an understanding of how to represent animals and nature ethically and creatively in visual media.
Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Photography, Film Production, Digital Media, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
