Job summary
A leading legal team in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Legal Officer to provide tailored legal support across various commercial matters. Responsibilities include overseeing contract negotiations, ensuring compliance with laws, and managing legal risks. The ideal candidate should have a law degree and at least 8 years of PQE in commercial law, along with strong communication skills.
Qualifications
- A law degree from an accredited institution.
- At least 8 years PQE in commercial law, preferably in-house.
- Strong understanding of corporate governance and commercial contracts.
- Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex contracts with a commercial mindset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the go-to legal advisor for subsidiary teams.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts.
- Represent the company in negotiations with external parties.
- Identify legal risks and advise on risk mitigation strategies.
- Manage and resolve legal disputes or potential litigation.
