We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mason to perform a wide range of masonry duties including laying bricks blocks and stones repairing existing structures and constructing walls walkways and other stone or concrete features. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction practices and be able to work efficiently with precision and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:Lay bricks concrete blocks stones and other types of building materials.
Mix and prepare mortar or grout manually or using machines.
Construct and repair walls floors chimneys and decorative stonework.
Cut and shape materials to fit specific measurements using tools such as trowels hammers and power saws.
Interpret blueprints drawings and project plans to meet exact specifications.
Ensure structures are level plumb and properly aligned.
Maintain cleanliness and safety on the job site.
Use proper lifting techniques and tools to handle heavy materials.
Perform repair and restoration of damaged masonry surfaces.
Collaborate with other construction professionals and follow supervisor instructions.
Proven experience as a Mason or similar role in the construction industry.
Familiarity with brick stone and block laying techniques.
Knowledge of safety standards and building codes.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
Vocational training or certification in masonry or construction.
Experience with both residential and commercial masonry projects.
