Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function tests.
- Administer therapeutic procedures including oxygen therapy and chest physiotherapy.
- Manage ventilators and artificial airway devices for patients in ICU, ER, or surgical settings.
- Collaborate with physicians and nurses to develop respiratory care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on managing respiratory conditions.
- Respond to emergency situations including cardiac or respiratory arrests.
- Ensure equipment is sanitized, calibrated, and functioning properly.
- Comply with all DOH regulations and hospital protocols.
