Role Overview:

Application Engineering is a team of electrical engineers in charge of customized projects offers for industrial power solutions (AC and DC UPS and accessories).

This team works closely with Sales and Design Engineering teams to prepare the optimal technical and business solution for the customer based on the project specification and utilizing rich technology portfolio of Chloride. The role starts with initial customer request for quotation and accompanies customer through complete cycle of revisions and consultation until the order booking and transfer to the execution team.

This role is key to product technology expertise and guiding customers on technical choices based on the budget and project requirements.

In this role You will be responsible to:

• Review customer request documentation (RFQ) and qualify it technically against existing portfolio

• Confirm and adhere to offer preparation timeline

• Calculate battery sizing and inverter / charger configuration in accordance with it

• Participate in customer clarifications meeting for technical consultations as needed

• Establish the list of third-party accessories required in the project and work with Supply Chain to obtain quotations for them

• Prepare the consolidated and priced offer including Chloride equipment and any third-party accessories assuring the best approach for project requirements and budget constraints

• Prepare the full technical package to accompany the offer including technical datasheets, single-line diagrams, assumptions lists, general arrangement drawing, battery sizing calculations, third-party equipment specification and quotes, etc

• Manage revisions of the offer based on the customer feedback and tracking document versioning

• Participate in the final offer review at order placement to ensure the offer and order alignment and passing the complete document package to the execution team

• Participate in the quality feedback review based on previously quoted jobs and continuous improvement process

• Manage and report your monthly performance indicators

For this role , you will need:

Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering

3-to-5-year experience in electrical engineering roles in industrial environment

Software skills including MS Office, MS Visio

Preferred qualifications that set you apart:

Relevant experience in the Energy sector (Power Generation, Oil and Gas, Hydrogen, Renewables, etc.)

Experience with UPS systems (Uninterruptible Power Supply)
