Project Overview

We are seeking a skilled GIS CAD & Graphics Specialist with expertise in urban planning submissions in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have strong technical proficiency in GIS mapping CAD drafting and graphic visualization along with a deep understanding of Abu Dhabi’s planning authority submission requirements (DMT UPC ADM etc.).

Responsibilities

Prepare high-quality CAD drawings GIS maps and 3D visualizations for master plans framework plans and urban development projects.

Ensure all deliverables comply with Abu Dhabi submission standards (e.g. layer naming file formats and authority requirements).

Develop and maintain GIS databases for spatial analysis land-use mapping and infrastructure planning.

Create concept diagrams illustrative plans and presentation graphics for reports and stakeholder reviews.

Coordinate with planners and engineers to align technical drawings with project requirements.

Assist in preparing planning permit applications NOCs and authority submissions (DMT).

Stay updated on Abu Dhabi’s digital submission guidelines and software requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Urban Planning GIS Architecture Engineering or related field.

5 years of experience in CAD drafting GIS mapping and graphic design for urban planning projects in the UAE (preferably Abu Dhabi).

Advanced skills in:

• CAD Software: AutoCAD Civil 3D MicroStation.
• GIS Software: ArcGIS QGIS spatial analysis tools.
• Graphics & Visualization: Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator Photoshop InDesign) SketchUp.

Strong knowledge of Abu Dhabi’s planning submission standards (e.g. layer structures file naming conventions).

Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.

Preferred

• Knowledge of DMT digital submission portals.
• DMT/ADM Land & Real estate requirements
