A leading international airport in Ras Al Khaimah is seeking an Electronics Technician to maintain ATC electronic systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Electronics Engineering and experience in an ATC environment. Responsibilities include performing maintenance, assisting in routine schedules, and ensuring prompt repairs. This role requires excellent analytical and communication skills. The position requires being part of shift keeping team to cover 24‑hour shift duties of electronics department. The position requires immediate responsibility for maintaining the ATC electronic systems in an operational status and in effecting repair or substitution in the event of failure.
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
This position requires in‑depth knowledge of electronics theory and practice proportionate to the role. In‑depth technical knowledge of modern data processing, PC hardware technology, software applications, computer networking, primary and secondary radar, air traffic radar display systems, datacommunication systems, automation and aeronautical VHF/UHF and communication systems is required.
Internationally recognized degree in Electronics Engineering (3 years of study) or similar. Preference given to candidates with a minimum 1‑year experience in an ATC environment, radar display systems, and a UAE driver’s licence. Radio communication knowledge is required. Knowledge of communication systems, V/UHF transceivers and operational aviation/navigational systems is also required.
