Job summary
A leading hotel chain in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a skilled Kitchen & Laundry Technician. Responsibilities include maintaining kitchen and laundry equipment, assisting the engineering department, and ensuring cleanliness of working areas. Candidates should have at least one year of experience in a similar role, strong mechanical skills, and a good command of English. This position is essential for upholding safety standards and guest privacy in a luxury hotel environment.
Qualifications

Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance on kitchen and laundry equipment.
- Assist engineering department with handiwork.
- Ensure working areas are clean at all times.
- Respond to maintenance complaints and emergency conditions.

- Carry out maintenance of hotel Kitchen & Laundry Equipment as per the scheduled maintenance program and preventive maintenance program.
- Assist the engineering department with handiwork around the hotel as required.
- Maintain working area and make sure that all working areas remain clean at all times.
- Using personal safety wares for your own personal safety during working.
- Respond to all complaints regarding maintenance.
- Assist on all plumbing stoppages.
- Respond to all emergency conditions such as fires, power failures, etc.
- Lubricate machinery on a regular basis and provide machinist work to all equipment such as replacing and repairing bearings, gears, belts, shafts, control mechanism, etc.
- Assist on major shutdowns for repairs. Use personal safety wares for personal safety while on duty.
- Remain well-mannered and well-groomed as per department and company standards at all times.
- Follow health and safety standards and strive for constant improvement to avoid health and injury hazards.
- Knowledge of all safety, security and emergency procedures related to my position in line with brand and statutory requirements.
- Ensure the privacy of guests, partners and residential owners, I will apply an extra level of protection to any sensitive personal data and use confidential information only to perform my job.
- Ensure all equipment of the department is kept clean and in good working condition.
- Attend meetings and training as required.
- Knowledge and strict adherence to LQA standards.
To execute the position of Kitchen & Laundry Technician, I have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar or greater role in luxury hotels with proven results. I possess a minimum Secondary School completion and/or a valid license to practice profession and minimum of one-year experience in similar role. Mechanical skills are mandatory. I have thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
I have a good command of written and spoken English.
