Job summary
A leading recruitment service provider seeks a supervisor for asphalt laying projects in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in asphalt laying, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage projects effectively. Responsibilities include overseeing project execution, ensuring quality standards, and mentoring team members. Candidates should possess a high school diploma and a valid driver's license. Knowledge of Arabic is preferred but not mandatory.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in asphalt laying.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of asphalt laying techniques and equipment.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of asphalt laying projects, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating with other departments and contractors
- Lead a team of workers, providing guidance and direction to ensure projects are completed on time and to the required specifications
- Monitor and inspect work to ensure quality and compliance with safety standards
- Operate equipment and machinery as needed to assist with asphalt laying
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, materials used, and labor hours
- Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure smooth project execution
- Train and mentor new team members as needed
- Ensure proper maintenance and care of equipment and tools
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in asphalt laying, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of asphalt laying techniques, equipment, and materials
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project plans
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Proven track record of successfully completing projects on time and within budget
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Physically fit and able to work in outdoor conditions
- Knowledge of Arabic language is preferred but not required
