Job summary

A leading Oil & Gas company is seeking a qualified Welding Inspector in Abu Dhabi to ensure compliance with welding standards and project specifications. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience within the industry, along with a relevant engineering diploma and certification in CSWIP 3.1 AWS-CWI. Strong knowledge of welding codes (ASME, API) and effective communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of welding codes and standards (ASME, API, etc.).
  • Good command of English both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct welding inspections in accordance with applicable codes.

  • Monitor and verify welding activities for quality assurance.
  • Identify and report non-conformities with corrective actions.

Job description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Welding Inspector to ensure compliance with welding standards and project specifications in a major Oil & Gas development project. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in the field strong inspection capabilities and the ability to communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct welding inspections in accordance with applicable codes standards and project requirements.
  • Review welding procedures welder qualifications and ensure proper execution on-site.
  • Monitor and verify welding activities to ensure quality and adherence to the approved specifications.
  • Identify and report non‑conformities and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
  • Collaborate with QA/QC construction and client teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Maintain detailed inspection records and generate reports for quality documentation.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry in a similar role.
  • Diploma in Engineering (relevant discipline).
  • Certification in CSWIP 3.1 AWS-CWI or an equivalent qualification approved by the Client.
  • Strong knowledge of welding codes and standards (ASME API etc.).
  • Good command of English both written and verbal.
