Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement function-level initiatives that align with the department’s strategic objectives and values, ensuring all team efforts contribute to strategic clarity and cultural consistency.
- Translate functional goals into actionable team-level targets and workplans, establish relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress, and ensure consistent performance tracking and meaningful strategic contributions.
- Drive sustainability-focused improvements within daily operations by piloting and scaling innovative initiatives, embedding a culture of innovation within the team’s operational mindset.
- Manage team-level expenditures and optimize budget utilization to effectively support the achievement of operational and strategic objectives.
- Lead communication initiatives related to the team’s work, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, while fostering trust and alignment with internal and external stakeholders through consistent messaging and collaborative engagement.
- Adapt and enforce Tadweer Group, Tajmee’e, and departmental policies and procedures at the team level by training staff, monitoring compliance, and addressing implementation gaps to enhance daily operations.
- Track and manage functional level asset inventory and usage, supporting preventive maintenance, system adoption, and productivity gains.
- Maintain oversight of team-level adherence to Crisis Management (Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Risk Management (PM), and Business Continuity Management (BCM) protocols, tracking compliance, reporting issues or non-conformities, and reinforcing operational discipline to support organizational resilience.
- Ensure compliance with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards, promoting sustainable and responsible business practices across all team activities.
- Communicate and reinforce policy expectations within teams, integrating compliance into onboarding, workflows, and performance evaluations.
- Execute and monitor the adoption of digital tools and systems at the team level, resolving technical challenges, optimizing usage, and ensuring integration enhances day-to-day effectiveness and data accuracy.
- Develop, upgrade, and implement comprehensive transport operations plans and service delivery frameworks, aligning fleet deployment, scheduling strategies, and operational execution with customer SLAs and business objectives across all shifts and rosters, ensuring efficient waste collection and disposal services for both compactor and non-compactor waste types, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.
- Ensure effective workload distribution and route planning by validating resource allocation models and performance outputs across shift rosters, optimizing fleet utilization for waste collection and disposal, and reducing operational inefficiencies.
- Plan and execute the transport component of contract mobilizations, service transitions, and large-scale rollouts by managing job planning and resource scheduling aligned with shift rosters, ensuring operational readiness for waste collection and disposal, and aligning with service start dates and customer requirements.
- Support contract negotiations, renewals, and pricing discussions by providing insights on operational capacity, fleet readiness, and resource planning, ensuring commitments are feasible and aligned with business goals.
- Drive alignment with Operations Support, Key Accounts & Field Operations, and Customer Support teams, ensuring service schedules, fleet needs, and SLA commitments are integrated into core transport operations.
- Manage day-to-day transport service operations across all customer segments, including routine contracts and high-value customers, guiding resource planning and execution of scheduled services, emergency responses, and special projects.
- Manage end-to-end delivery of waste collection and disposal transport services by supervising job planning, scheduling, real-time execution, and fleet readiness, ensuring service excellence and compliance across all waste streams.
Qualifications:
- Professional certifications in areas such as Project Management (e.g., PMP), Transport & Logistics Management, or Supply Chain Management, demonstrating specialized knowledge and industry standards adherence.
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience in transport operations, logistics management, or related fields, preferably within waste management, transportation, utilities, or service industries.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in supervisory or managerial roles overseeing transport operations, with a focus on efficiency and strategic growth.
- Extensive experience in strategizing and leading end-to-end transport operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and performance targets are met.
- Broad experience in contract mobilization and fleet deployment, ensuring seamless operational ramp-up and resource allocation.
- Experience in designing operational improvements to optimize routes, resources, and service efficiency.
