Sr. Engineer Procurement/Expeditor - Office Based
The Senior Engineer – PMC Procurement / Expeditor is responsible for managing and coordinating procurement and expediting activities on behalf of the Client within a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) framework. The role ensures timely procurement, manufacturing, inspection, and delivery of materials and equipment in compliance with project specifications, schedules, and quality requirements.
Key Skills
- Strong knowledge of procurement cycles, vendor management, and expediting processes.
- Familiarity with international standards (API, ASME, IEC, ISO, etc.).
- Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and reporting abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and procurement tracking tools.
- Ability to work independently in an office-based PMC role with multiple interfaces.

Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related discipline).
Experience
- Minimum 15 years of experience in procurement and expediting within EPC or PMC projects.
- Minimum 5 years offshore Project Experience is Mandatory
- Proven experience working in PMC / Client representative roles.
- Strong background in oil & gas, energy, or large infrastructure projects preferred.
Main Responsibilities
Procurement Support (PMC Role)
- Review and provide technical and commercial input to procurement strategies, bid packages, and purchase requisitions prepared by EPC contractors.
- Evaluate vendor bids, technical queries, and deviations; provide recommendations to the Client.
- Participate in technical bid evaluations (TBE) and commercial bid evaluations (CBE) as required.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with project specifications, standards, and approved vendor lists.
- Develop and monitor expediting plans and material delivery schedules in line with the project master schedule.
- Track vendor manufacturing progress, documentation submission, inspection milestones, and shipment status.
- Identify potential delays or risks and proactively coordinate mitigation actions with vendors, EPC contractors, and the Client.
- Review expediting and progress reports submitted by EPC contractors and vendors.
- Act as the primary PMC focal point for procurement and expediting matters.
- Coordinate with vendors, EPC contractors, inspection agencies, and logistics teams.
- Attend vendor progress meetings (virtual or office-based) and review action items.
