Startup Solutions Architects work hand in hand with AWS customers to help them make the most of the Cloud. They exist at the crossroads of business and technology, engaging with startups at different stages. Supporting the overall technical relationship between customers and AWS, they understand the customer’s business needs and give prescriptive guidance on how to create business value with technology. Solutions Architects also have broader impact at scale, taking a supporting role in creating and presenting technical content and best practices.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to accelerate their challenging projects and recommend best‑practice architectures in line with their long‑term business outcomes.
• Operate as a trusted advisor for startups, shaping guidance around the customer’s priorities and finding inventive ways to add value with AWS and partner technology.
• Capture and share the voice of the customer to influence the roadmap of new features and services for AWS; participate in creating or updating technical content and reference architectures (e.g., white papers, code samples, blog posts).
• Evangelize and educate about AWS technology through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos, or conferences.
• Develop deep knowledge of AWS tools and products, craft highly‑scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures that address business problems, and continuously learn and innovate daily.

Daily Life

The Solutions Architect team is responsible for helping customers successfully implement cloud solutions. A typical week involves meeting multiple customers and collaborating on designing and operating well‑architected solutions. You’ll earn their trust, educate them about the capabilities of AWS, partner with internal teams, and build flexible cloud architectures to meet their business challenges.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience with building, validating, and deploying GenAI models and applications on cloud infrastructure.
• Sound knowledge of machine learning fundamentals and working knowledge of frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, or MXNet.
• Knowledge of MLOps tools and workflows for model development, validation, and deployment.
• High level of communication skills, both technical and non‑technical; ability to explain technical choices to business and technology stakeholders.
• Fluent written and verbal communication in English (knowledge of local language is a plus).
• UAE nationals with a family book.
• Professional experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS and/or AWS certification (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional).
• Hands‑on experience benchmarking and optimizing performance of models on accelerated computing clusters (GPUs, Trainium/Inferentia, TPU, AI ASICs) with high‑speed networking.
• Understanding of tuning generative AI foundation models using techniques like RAG, PEFT, RLHF, DPO.
• Experience scaling model training and inference using technologies like Slurm, ParallelCluster, Amazon SageMaker; developing and deploying large‑scale machine learning or deep learning models in production (batch and real‑time processing).
