About the Role

We are currently seeking a Senior Casualty Underwriter to join our clients team in the DIFC, Dubai. In this role, you will be responsible for underwriting and managing a portfolio of casualty insurance products for our clients. You will work closely with our sales team to develop new business opportunities and maintain relationships with existing clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Underwrite new and renewal casualty insurance policies in accordance with company guidelines and standards
  • Analyse and evaluate risk exposures and determine appropriate coverage and pricing
  • Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and clients to promote new business opportunities and ensure retention of existing business
  • Review and negotiate policy terms and conditions with brokers and clients
  • Monitor and manage portfolio performance, including profitability and loss ratios
  • Stay updated on market trends and developments in the casualty insurance industry
  • Provide guidance and support to junior underwriters as needed
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as claims and finance, to ensure efficient and effective operations
  • Participate in industry events and conferences to represent the company and network with potential clients and partners

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in casualty underwriting
  • Strong knowledge of casualty insurance products and market trends
  • Excellent analytical and risk assessment skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with brokers and clients
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
