- Construct, maintain, review, and operate complex financial models in line with internal guidelines.
- Conduct financial analysis and perform quality reviews as required.
- Explain financial models and associated analysis to internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal departments (commercial, technical, legal, tax, insurance, environmental, QHSE, etc.) and external stakeholders (lenders, equity partners, external advisors) as required.
- Support Masdar's bank relationship model by maintaining relationships with banks and other financial institutions including IFIs.
- Support Treasury operations (not limited to the issuing of guarantee instruments, cash & liquidity management).
- Take a proactive approach to own training needs in order to ensure continuous growth and knowledge transfer.
- Complete all relevant reports in a comprehensive, accurate, and timely manner and comply with international principles of corporate governance and standards and shareholder requirements.
- Adhere to any applicable Masdar information security policies and procedures and identify and report security incidents and suspected weaknesses to the appropriate point(s) of contact.
- Protect assets under care (e.g., laptops and other devices) and information/credentials against unauthorized access, sharing, and/or damage/loss in accordance with the Information Classification and Handling Procedure.
Qualifications:
- MBA or relevant Master’s degree from a top-tier internationally recognized higher education institution preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, STEM, or related field preferred.
- GPA of 3.5 or equivalent preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in financial modelling and/or project financing at a market-leading investment bank/advisory firm/developer/financial sponsor.
- Experience in the global power and renewable energy sectors is strongly preferred.
- Ability to lead and conduct complex financial modelling, valuation, and financial analysis.
- Knowledge of corporate and structured finance, trade finance, and debt capital markets instruments.
- Ability to negotiate, influence, and present financial solutions.
- Understanding of the financial markets and economics locally and globally.
