A Sales Executive – Automotive Bodyshop Paints sells and promotes automotive refinish paints, coatings and related products to workshops, bodyshops and dealers, and grows revenue and market share in an assigned territory.

Position Overview

Job title: Sales Executive – Automotive Bodyshop Paints.

Reports to: Sales Manager / Business Unit Head – Refinish / Area Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales and margin targets for automotive bodyshop paints, thinners, primers, clear coats and related consumables.
  • Identify, qualify and develop new bodyshop accounts; regularly visit existing customers to retain and grow business.
  • Conduct product presentations, demos and paint‑system trials at customer sites in coordination with technical support where required.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, promotions and annual agreements within company guidelines to close deals.
  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing and new launches; provide timely feedback and market intelligence to management.
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations, tenders and proposals; ensure accurate order entry and coordination with logistics for timely deliveries.
  • Track sales pipeline and visit plans using CRM / sales reports; maintain updated records of prospects, contacts and actions.
  • Collaborate with technical team to resolve product issues, color‑matching problems, complaints and warranty claims at customer sites.
  • Ensure proper product display, branding and POS materials in key accounts; support marketing campaigns, trade shows and roadshows.
  • Follow company credit policies, actively support collections and reduce overdue receivables in assigned accounts.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, automotive technology or related field (or equivalent sales experience).
  • 2–4 years of field sales experience, preferably in automotive paints, refinish products, lubricants, spare parts or related automotive aftermarket.
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel extensively within assigned territory.
  • Strong B2B sales and negotiation skills with ability to close deals and manage objections.
  • Good understanding of automotive bodyshop operations (painting process, materials, productivity, color‑matching basics).
  • High level of relationship‑building, networking and account‑management skills.
  • Self‑motivated, target‑driven, with strong ownership and follow‑up discipline.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office / CRM tools and ability to prepare sales reports and forecasts.
  • Clear communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills in English; additional local languages are an advantage.
